Food Waste
The Co-operative is to become the first retailer in the UK to include storage instructions for fruit and vegetables on its fresh produce bags, to help tackle the growing problem of household food waste.
One of our biggest changes of recent times is introducing degradable carrier bags in selected store. These bags contain a special additive which accelerates the breakdown of the plastic |

Carrier Bags
Bags will start to degrade in approximately 18 months after manufacture. The whole process will take about 3 years.
